Larry Roberson is an Apprenticeship Implementation Specialist serving Greenville Technical College, Piedmont Technical College, Spartanburg Community College, and Tri-County Technical College. He began working with Apprenticeship Carolina in June 2024.
Prior to joining Apprenticeship Carolina, Larry taught and coordinated skilled trades and advanced manufacturing courses at Greenville Technical College in the Corporate and Continuing Education division. Before that, he worked in the Georgia Technical College system for 30 years, holding several positions ranging from Culinary Arts Instructor to Dean of Health Sciences.
Originally from Georgia, Larry earned a Bachelor of Science in Education specializing in adult education and a Master of Education from Valdosta State University, as well as completing ABD status at Mercer University. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family and grandchildren, as well as outdoor activities such as hiking, camping, and gardening.

What drew you to apprenticeship?
What drew me to apprenticeship is the opportunity to continue working with students/apprentices. Additionally, the team here at Apprenticeship Carolina is a great group of people to work with.
What is something that you enjoy or appreciate the most about your job?
I appreciate the opportunity to work with colleges, students/apprentices, and companies, and enjoy the interaction between these groups.
