Leslie Lovett is an Apprenticeship Implementation Specialist serving Horry-Georgetown, Orangeburg-Calhoun, Trident, and Williamsburg Technical Colleges. He began working with Apprenticeship Carolina in August 2022.
Prior to joining with Apprenticeship Carolina, Leslie taught 7th grade World History/Geography for 4 years.
Originally from Redbank, SC, Leslie received his Associate of Arts from Midlands Technical College before attending Winthrop University for an undergraduate degree in Political Science (Go Eagles!). He then went on to earn his Master of Public Administration from Clemson University. In his spare time, Leslie likes to spend time on the family farm in Bowman, SC, where they raise hogs and all kinds of poultry while row cropping corn, soybeans, and wheat throughout the year. When not farming, he loves watching/playing sports, hunting, and spending time with family.

What drew you to apprenticeship?
My appreciation for the SC Technical College System and the confidence I gained at Midlands Technical College.
What is something that you enjoy or appreciate the most about your job?
I enjoy working with companies of all sizes and notoriety and helping them navigate building their workforce while finding ways to integrate newer markets and hiring practices.
