Olivia Pettway is an Apprenticeship Implementation Manager. She joined Apprenticeship Carolina in September of 2020 as a Registered Program Specialist and then Lead Registered Program Specialist before moving into her current role in May 2023.
Prior to joining Apprenticeship Carolina, Olivia worked in the private sector as a Marketing Representative, Training Facilitator, HR Representative and Manager for 10+ years. After working in the private sector, she worked for SCWorks Midlands supporting the WIOA grant as the Work Readiness Coordinator.
Originally from Chester, SC, Olivia earned her bachelor's degree from Virginia State University. In her spare time, Olivia enjoys spending time with son, KJ, daughter, Kayani, and her entire family, as well as reading, mental wellness, research, cooking and creating things.

What drew you to apprenticeship?
I believe there are multiple ways to be successful in life and everyone’s path is different. Apprenticeship is a viable career solution for individuals seeking an opportunity to Earn While They Learn.
What is something that you enjoy or appreciate the most about your job?
I enjoy the variation of task I’m responsible for. However, I absolutely love providing resources to help pave the way for apprentices to be successful.
