Our 5 apprenticeship programs are designed to bridge the gap between education and practical experience, providing participants with hands-on training in Mechanical Maintenance, Machine Tool, Lubrication, Electrical and Instrumentation, and HVAC. New Indy Catawba currently has 49 apprentices, each bringing their own unique perspectives and skills. They are engaged in various trainings and jobs that enhance their technical abilities. Throughout the 5-year program, apprentices benefit from mentorship by industry professionals in their chosen fields. The curriculums are tailored to meet the paper and packaging industry needs, ensuring participants are well-equipped with the essential skills but also adaptable to future trends. This approach not only cultivates a skilled workforce but also empowers our apprentices to take ownership of their career paths.

Our 3 recent graduates - Chandler Gardner, Kris Carter, and Chris Kennington - have successfully transitioned into their full-time roles, demonstrating the program’s effectiveness in prepping them for real-world challenges as a Master Craft Journeyman.
